Kamyar D. Shabani, Esq.

Kamyar practices in all areas of Real Estate Law and his experience includes representation of lenders, institutional and non-institutional investors in various areas of real estate, including drafting and negotiating: senior and mezzanine loans; purchase and sale agreements in connection with acquisitions and sale of vacant land, office buildings and other commercial properties; commercial leases, including office, retail and light industrial leases; and drafting and negotiating limited liability company agreements and joint ventures.

Kamyar possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where Kamyar graduated Summa Cum Laude, and received the following honors: Phi Beta Kappa, UCLA Dean’s List, Golden Key Honors Society and Political Science Honors Society. Kamyar received a degree of Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School in New York where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He is licensed by the State of California as an Attorney-at-Law.

Through the end of 2005, Kamyar was an Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, having worked in the firm’s Los Angeles, New York and Century City offices.

Kamyar is the co-author of “Fin 46: Your Balance Sheet and Why You Should be Concerned,” published in the Winter 2004 issue of Real Estate Finance Journal, and “Lease Terminations in a Soft Leasing Market: Issues for Landlords to Consider,” published in the April 2004 issue of Real Estate Finance.

Kevin Ostrov

Kevin Ostrov is a paralegal at Shabani Law Corporation. Kevin has vast experience in performing due diligence, contract drafting, legal and litigation support, and research. Kevin graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, concentrating on Urban Studies. Kevin attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, concentrating on Real Property and Land Use. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin worked for Legal Aid of Los Angeles in the Greater Watts Homeowners Division (since reorganized), and various litigation-based private law firms.
